Assessments for Child Asperger's Syndrome
A tool commonly used by specialists to diagnose ASDs is the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS). This is a group of structured tests that can be tailored to different age groups.
These will be completed by our team of specialists who will undertake a comprehensive evaluation of your child which will include: and in-depth cognitive and language test to establish IQ, they will also evaluate motor functions, verbal and non-verbal skills (gestures and eye movement), use of non-literal language (metaphor, humour, irony), learning style, content and clarity and coherence of conversation and social skills (understanding others and ability to react to verbal cues). This will all be combined with a review of any physical issues, development history and current symptoms.
