Most people experience some degree of exam stress and feeling stressed is a natural response to pressure. But too much can become overwhelming and can affect their performance and create physical and emotional issues.

The symptoms of exam stress can be lack of concentration, nausea, loss of confidence, insomnia or feelings of panic and anxiety. It can also affect eating habits and relationships as well as making them feel depressed or unusually bad tempered or even self-harm. In older students it can make them drink or smoke too much or use drugs.
