Dr Louis is a Consultant Psychiatrist currently working for the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. He has a Medical Degree, Medical Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis and Practitioner’s Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy. He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
Dr Louis has over 15 years’ experience working for the NHS, and has supported patients in a variety of areas, including Adults, Liaison Psychiatry, Rehabilitation, Learning Disabilities, Forensic Psychiatry and Psychotherapy.
He currently specialises in working with adults suffering from a range of complex mental health issues, including Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Suicidal Ideation, Grief or Loss and Low Self Esteem. Therapeutic methods include Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy.
Dr Louis is a Medico Legal Expert, having produced numerous reports for court. He is confident in his Capacity to Instruct, completing assessments for Capacity, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Depression and Personality Disorder.
