Dr Thompson is a fully chartered clinical psychologist, registered with the Health Care Professions Council currently working for RDASH (Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber) NHS Foundation Trust.
He has experience in various community (both primary and secondary care), inpatient and forensic settings assessing and treating both individuals and families across the full age span. Dr Thompson has worked with mental health problems such as anxiety and depression to more enduring conditions such as psychosis and personality disorders. He has formal training in a variety of therapeutic approaches including CBT, schema therapy, mindfulness as well as person centred and integrative approaches, so is able to match each therapeutic intervention to individual needs.
Dr Thompson also has experience working with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ASD, ADHD and learning Disabilities. He is trained and has experience in assessing for these conditions in both children and adults.
