Ms Sara Rad trained as a Clinical Psychologist in Sweden with a licence to practice from Swedish Board of Health and Welfare (equivalent to Doctorate training) and undertook further training in the UK to obtain a licence to practice and registration with HCPC.
Sara has over 18 years’ clinical experience working in a wide range of Adult Mental Health Services. Her extensive experience has resulted in her successfully treating conditions that stem from the pressures of daily life, such as depression and anxiety. She is also effective at working with conditions such as personality disorders, psychosis, sexual offenders, autism and learning disability, depression/anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, traumatic experiences and also degenerative neurological conditions such as stroke, MS and dementia.
Sara uses therapeutic interventions such as CBT, DBT and EMDR tailored to the individual need, presentation, cognitive ability and personality.
Her style is holistic, warm, empathetic, non-judgmental and understanding with a strong ability to build up trust and rapport. She uses a wide variety of psychological assessments such as IQ testing, cognitive and intellectual functioning, Autism assessment, memory and personality testing.
Sara is described by her colleagues as honest, hardworking and discerning. She is a friendly and approachable person who works diligently and professionally with patients and colleagues.
