Dr Neil Nixon

Dr Neil Nixon is a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry in Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and Honorary (Consultant) Assistant Professor at University of Nottingham, School of Medicine.
Dr Nixon has a special interest in the treatment of depression, including treatment resistant depression. He was the Clinical Lead of the Topic Expert Group on the NICE Guidance for Depression in Nottingham and has published very extensively on the subject, including peer reviewed papers in the British Journal of Psychiatry, Psychological Medicine, and The International Journal of Psychophysiology. Dr Nixon has taken lead roles, including as Principal Investigator, in several interventional trials of treatments for resistant depression.
Dr Nixon is an exceptionally accomplished expert as well as being a very engaging individual and we are delighted to be working with him.
