Dr Robert Hill has over 20 years' experience in mental health. Within his career he has combined extensive clinical experience as well as research, lecturing and writing. His focus is on providing assessments and therapy and neuropsychological assessments and treatment for alcohol abuse and drug and substance misuse.

Dr Hill is also a Consultant Clinical Psychologist for the South London and Maudsley Trust's, one of the UK's leading NHS mental health Trusts.

Dr Hill specialises in alcohol abuse and addiction and drug and substance abuse.
He also offers Neuropsychological testing. Neuropsychological testing involves a comprehensive investigation of an individual's mental capabilities using specialised tests. Neuropsychological testing also allows specialist psychologists and therapists to design and carry out specific interventions to help individuals learn new techniques to manage any difficulties and to reinforce strengths.

Qualifications and Experience

Dr Hill completed his extensive qualifications and training at Brunel University, University of London and Surrey University obtaining an MSc in Psychological Assessment, MA in Modern European Philosophy and, Psych D in Clinical Psychology.

He has worked as a Senior Lecturer at Middlesex University, where he jointly managed a three-year European project that focused on the reduction of patient violence, stress and burnout among community and inpatient mental health personnel in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland and the UK.

He has been an Honorary Lecturer in Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry and an Associate Lecturer for the Open University. He has also had various research posts include a long tenure at The Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health.

He has also been lead clinician within inpatient drug and alcohol services in London including the South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
