Dr Shelley Parkin is an extremely experienced Clinical Psychologist who works with clients across the lifespan experiencing a range of difficulties relating to their psychological and physical health, such as anxiety, low mood, attachment/family relationships, eating disorders and other developmental and/or cognitive difficulties associated with autism and learning disability. She has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Shelley has worked with people with complex lifelong conditions such as dyspraxia, spastic paraparesis; progressive illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease and multiple sclerosis; and acquired brain injuries, particularly head injuries.
Shelley has experience undertaking capacity assessments, observations, and clinical interviews, and has completed neuropsychological assessments in relation to memory, learning disability, and head injury.
Shelley is an incredibly warm and empathic clinician who is open to working with all mental health difficulties. Her calm, informal approach and excellent communication skills enables her to understand her clients feelings and give them and their families the necessary tools to progress.
