Rachel Roper

Rachel Roper is a chartered member of the British Psychological Society, she holds a post graduate diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council as a practitioner Psychologist. She holds an MSc in Forensic Psychology and has practiced as a Registered General Nurse.

Rachel has considerable experience helping people deal with a variety of problems such as coping with anxiety, depression, OCD, anger, self-esteem issues, relationship problems, addictions, relationships and learning difficulties.

As well as providing treatment, Rachel is an experienced risk assessor and accredited with the Risk Management Authority. She undertakes reports for sentencing purposes for Courts, as well as assessing risk and advising on management strategies and treatment options for offenders within prison.

Rachel adopts an empathic and supportive approach with her clients and helps them to deal effectively with problems that impact upon their life. She uses a combination of behavioural therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and teaches emotion management whilst encouraging self-reflection, mindfulness and the motivation to succeed.
