Phil Coombes

Phil Coombes is a highly experienced Psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience working across the NHS and private sector. He holds a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology and specialises in supporting both children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health challenges.
Phil has particular expertise in trauma and self-harm, and also works with conditions such as depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), behavioural difficulties, personality disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
He draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT)—tailoring treatment to each person’s individual needs, with a focus on trauma-informed care.
