Philippa trained as a Registered Mental Health nurse and worked in both inpatient and community settings before becoming Director of Nursing in a large mental health organisation.
Following this, Philippa became the Chief Executive of Berkshire Healthcare NHS FT where she remained for 11 years before making the transition to be the CEO of an acute Trust, taking it into a successful merger.
Retaining senior executive positions within the private sector and with NHS Improvement, Philippa then took up the position of CEO of Devon ICB where she led the build and development of the Exeter Nightingale Hospital through Covid.
Now Chair of a large NHS Trust, Philippa remains firmly committed to providing excellent care for patients and a positive work environment for colleagues and is very pleased to be part of a thriving organisation supporting people with mental health problems.
