Dr Eric Dale is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of expertise in General Adult Psychiatry and more than 14 years as a Consultant within the NHS. His clinical background includes over a decade of work with Rotherham, Doncaster & South Humber NHS Foundation Trust, where he supported adults with a wide range of mental health concerns.
Dr Dale is currently focused on providing specialist autism assessments using the Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R), a gold-standard tool for identifying autism in both adults and young people. He has many years of experience in this area and brings a thoughtful, thorough, and patient-centred approach to each assessment.
Throughout his career, Dr Dale has worked with individuals experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, and psychosis, and he is well known for his calm, compassionate manner. While he is not currently offering general adult outpatient or ADHD appointments, he brings that rich experience to inform his diagnostic work.
A Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Dr Dale is deeply committed to providing careful, respectful assessments that support a clearer understanding of each individual’s strengths and needs.
At the core of Dr Dale’s practice is his belief in building strong, positive relationships with his patients. He listens with care and empathy, creating a space where people feel heard and supported. His approach ensures that every decision regarding treatment is fully informed, empowering people to take an active role in their mental health journey.
