Our workforce

Clinical Partners works with a mixed workforce, including employed colleagues and a large network of self-employed clinicians. Use of AI in recruitment

We use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the recruitment and engagement processes, such as reviewing applications and profiles. These tools support our recruitment and engagement teams and are regularly reviewed to help reduce the risk of bias. AI does not replace human judgement, all final decisions are made by people.

Policies, wellbeing and safe practice

We promote a supportive and flexible working environment, guided by policies on equality, diversity and inclusion, anti-bullying and harassment, recruitment, work-related stress, transitioning at work, and modern slavery. We also take steps to ensure our environments and systems are accessible wherever possible.

Ethical recruitment and modern slavery

Clinical Partners has a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We carry out due diligence at recruitment, engagement and with our suppliers and take immediate action if concerns are identified, including reporting to the appropriate authorities.

Our focus on Community Partnership and stakeholder engagement is demonstrated through various initiatives: 

Julia's House: We have doubled our monthly donations and actively participate in annual fundraisers, including matching individual contributions from colleagues during fundraising walks. 

Ukrainian Scouting Support: We funded holidays for 40 Ukrainian children, organizing camps in Wales and Scotland. 

Shaftesbury School: We contributed 25% towards a £10k goal to fund a U.S. science trip for students and committed to covering any remaining shortfall. 

Race the Thames: In January 2022 and 2023, around 30 colleagues participated in various sports events for fundraising, supplemented by Clinical Partners. 

Shine 21 Dorset: We sponsored two events for a local Down Syndrome support group at a colleague’s request. 

By embedding social value into every aspect of our organisation—from leadership to employee engagement and community partnerships—Clinical Partners fosters a culture that prioritises positive social and environmental impact as a core part of our identity and operations. 

Clinical Partners is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040, in alignment with NHS and government targets. Our strategy supports the NHS's goal of becoming the world’s first net-zero health service, and we have set interim milestones of a 53.2% emissions reduction by 2025 and 82.2% by 2030. 

Our sustainability track record includes: 

• Cycle-to-work and walk-to-work schemes. 

• 70% reduction in commuting since 2019. 

• Energy-efficient operations with hybrid work setups, LED lighting, and motion-triggered systems.   

To further influence sustainable practices, we: 

• Promote digital communications to reduce printing. 

• Encourage sustainable travel options, led by our Health and Wellbeing Lead. 

• Engage suppliers in emissions reduction and waste management. 

• Select venues that use renewable energy.
