Dr Adela Mrkaljevic

Dr Adela Mrkaljevic is a compassionate and highly experienced Counselling Psychologist who has been supporting clients through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties for over eight years. She has worked across the NHS, residential services, private practice, and trauma-focused charities—bringing depth, care, and expertise to every therapeutic relationship.
Dr Mrkaljevic works with people experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, relationship difficulties, grief, and low self-esteem, as well as those living with long-term health conditions. She also has specialist experience in supporting survivors of domestic abuse and childhood sexual trauma, and understands the care and sensitivity these experiences require.
Her approach is collaborative and flexible. Drawing on tools like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), ACT, DBT, and person-centred therapy, Dr Mrkaljevic adapts each session to suit the unique needs and pace of the individual. She focuses on creating a safe, respectful space where clients feel understood and supported to make meaningful change.
She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
