Ruth is passionate about providing an exceptional standard of care, using evidence based practice, and continually developing her clinical skills to offer her clients the highest standard of treatment.
Ruth undertook ADOS-2 Training at the Tavistock Centre. She has considerable experience of carrying out autism assessments and is very skilled at working with a wide age range, from age 2 to 18, as well as working with parents. She is experienced in assessing young people with complex presentations, e.g. learning difficulties, high levels of anxiety, selective mutism and behaviour difficulties.
Ruth has speech and language therapy skills beyond supporting autistic children, providing input across a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties, as well as running groups, providing parent support, and carrying out training.
Ruth is known as a thoughtful, reflective and analytical clinician who is never judgemental and builds productive relationships with families. She is compassionate, sensitive and never forgets that there is a child at the heart of the assessment.
