School questionnaires are needed before assessments can be booked
If you have received a school questionnaire, please contact your child's school as soon as possible to check it has been completed and returned before the summer holidays.
Area updates that may affect wait times
Your local NHS Integrated Care Board (ICB) plans and funds NHS services in your area. ICBs may set local instructions for providers to help manage services within their available funding. These instructions can affect when we are able to book assessments and appointments.
When we have specific instructions from an ICB, we send an email to everyone on the waitlist from that area, and add the details here. If you have not received an email and your ICB is not listed, it generally means there are no current local arrangements in place that are affecting care in your area.

Support options
If you or your child needs urgent support with mental health, safety or emotional wellbeing, please do not wait for your autism or ADHD assessment.
If there is an immediate risk of harm, call 999 or go to A&E.
If you need urgent mental health help but it is not an immediate emergency, you can contact NHS 111 online or call 111 and select the mental health option. NHS guidance says crisis and emergency support is available for anyone who needs urgent mental health help.
You may also find it helpful to contact a trusted person, your GP, your child’s school or another professional already involved in your or your child’s care.

What support is available without a diagnosis?
Support and adjustments can often be provided based on need, without a formal diagnosis. This may include school based support, workplace adjustments, and community support. Your GP can help you explore what is available locally.
