Dr Clare Nolan

Dr Clare Nolan is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who specialises in supporting children and adolescents with a range of mental health and neurodevelopmental conditions. With over eight years of consultant-level experience in the NHS, she brings deep clinical knowledge and a compassionate, collaborative approach to her work.
Dr Nolan is passionate about creating a safe, respectful environment where young people feel heard and understood. She works closely with families, schools, and other support networks to develop tailored, evidence-based care plans that consider each child’s unique needs and strengths.
She is specially trained in the Autism Diagnostic Interview–Revised (ADI-R)—a gold-standard assessment tool for identifying autism in both children and adults. Her expertise ensures assessments are conducted with clarity, precision, and care.
Dr Nolan studied medicine at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne and later undertook further training at the University of Leeds. In addition to her clinical work, she is involved in developing and supporting fellow doctors through coaching and appraisal.
