Dr Alexander Langford is a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist who currently works on the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit for Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust. He treats the full range of mental health presentations. Dr Langford is a Member of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Royal College of Physicians and holds a first class honours BSc in Psychology.
Dr Langford is a highly skilled clinician with wide ranging skills. He trained in a variety of community, inpatient and specialist settings, and also has experience as the Consultant Psychiatrist on a female acute psychiatric ward.
Dr Langford delivers clear assessments and interventions with the client’s needs as his central focus. Dr Langford works collaboratively with clients with a range of mood, anxiety and personality disorders and believes in the assertive treatment of symptoms so people can get on with the lives they want to lead. He is evidence based, but can also be personalised in his prescribing.
