You do not need to know exactly what is happening, or have a diagnosis in mind, before asking for help.
A good first step is to speak to your GP. They can listen to what you have been experiencing, consider your physical and mental health, and help you understand what support may be right for you.
If you are considering private care, you can also contact our team directly. We will ask a few questions about what you have noticed, how it is affecting you and what you would like help with. We can explain which of our services may be suitable. If another service would be better placed to support you, we will let you know.
You can also explore Real Life by Clinical Partners, where people share their experiences of mental health and neurodivergence. Their stories and practical insights may help you find language for what you are experiencing, feel less alone and think about what kind of support might be helpful. Real Life does not provide a diagnosis or replace advice from a healthcare professional.
You do not need to wait until you are in crisis before asking for support.
If you need help now
Clinical Partners is not an emergency or crisis service.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E.
If you need urgent mental health support, but it is not an emergency, contact NHS 111 and select the mental health option, or ask your GP for an urgent appointment.
If things feel difficult, but you do not need urgent help, speak to your GP, follow any support or care plan you already have, or talk to someone you trust.
You do not have to decide whether your situation is “serious enough” before asking for help. You can also visit our [Get help and support] page to find the option that best fits how you are feeling.
