Catherine Tyerman

Catherine is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with 11 years of working within mental health and forensic settings. Most recently, Catherine has been working with the Child Development Centre, which is part of the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
Catherine’s knowledge of attachment theory, brain development, and sensory integration help her to facilitate child-centred formulations and interventions. She is adept at Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Systemic, and Compassion Focused Therapy, which she integrates into her therapeutic approach.
She is passionate about inclusivity and making a real difference to people’s lives and draws on her own personal neurodiversity which allows her personal insight into living with differences.
Catherine is someone who cares deeply about the work that she does and really wants to make a meaningful difference to those she works with. She is focused on developing inclusive, safe and supportive environments, and guiding effective outcomes in individual, direct and indirect therapy.
