Our Leadership

Adrian is a highly experienced company director with a 30-year career managing UK SMEs. This includes five years as a board member of a UK listed plc. A Yorkshireman, Adrian started work as an apprentice aged 16 and went on to become part-owner of the business where he worked. He subsequently led the successful acquisition, building, and disposal of a series of businesses. Adrian remains an advisor to several businesses and is valued for his exceptional knowledge of sound business management. Having left school with no formal qualifications, Adrian completed an MBA in 1998 at Bradford Business school where he met Barny, and they have worked together ever since.

Barny has been Chief Executive of Clinical Partners since 2011. His experience covers a wide range of mental healthcare settings from working with street addicts in Bradford to working as Operations Director of a private inpatient mental health unit, a position he held for five years. Before completing an MBA in 1998, Barny served as an officer in the British Army for three years. In 2001, he completed the Marathon des Sables to raise money for the Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust.

Alice joined us as Medical Director in 2019, bringing a wealth of experience and sharing our commitment to keeping our clients' wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. Her career in adult and neuropsychiatry spans over 25 years and includes senior roles at both Medical and Clinical Director level. Having previously worked as Chief Medical Officer & Consultant Psychiatrist at St Andrew’s Healthcare, a charity providing specialist mental healthcare, and Clinical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist, Ealing Local Service Clinical Service Unit, Alice had been responsible for successfully redesigning services, advising medical boards, and integrating operational and clinical strategy for several health trusts, charities and foundations. This rich and diverse experience has been pivotal in driving forward our vision, improving our services and ensuring our clinicians, staff and processes are all aligned to help us improve patient outcomes.

Jonathan joined us in 2020 to help build our brand and drive customer-led thinking across the whole business. He has over 20 years experience in marketing strategy and innovation roles across a range of London-based consultancies. This includes working as Planning Director at global marketing agency MRM McCann where he worked with many leading brands in healthcare, finance, technology and more. In 2006, Jonathan launched a creative digital agency that employed over 15 people and has also started a music promotions business running events in and around London. At a time when purpose is more important than ever, Jonathan is ensuring our values are brought to life, leading new propositions, implementing customer experience design, and creating communications that genuinely add value.

Sarah has worked with Clinical Partners as an adviser since early 2020 and has over 30 years experience in a range of commercial and board-level roles. A qualified lawyer, Sarah has worked in the UK and internationally on collaborative partnership relationships to support organisations implementing governance and infrastructure in fast-growing environments. She has business development and operational healthcare experience, both privately and with the NHS and is now using that experience to support Clinical Partners in a range of development activities, as well as governance. Sarah is passionate about improving access to all types of healthcare and recognises the particular importance of evolving mental healthcare to make it readily available to a wide range of people at a time when it's needed most.

Chris joined Clinical Partners at the start of 2020 to help develop our technology and online services. A highly accomplished CTO with over 20 years of experience, Chris has held senior roles at several leading businesses including Bloomberg and has worked as a CTO for a number of scale-up businesses and a children's mental health company. Chris is delighted to work with Clinical Partners to help deliver the best and most accessible services possible at a time when there has never been a greater need. His work on product, technology and information security continues to help us deliver more service than ever while establishing a new platform to support the company's vision.
