Addiction and Mental Health at Work

Posted on Thursday, 05 September 2013, in Addiction, Occupational Health

We don’t necessarily expect to encounter mental health problems in the workplace, but as a recent survey by the Office for National Statistics revealed, almost 20% of people in the UK are affected by anxiety or depression, so we shouldn’t be surprised if mental health issues affect our colleagues or employees.

With this in mind, we launch our Addiction and Mental Health in the Workplace tool to help managers, employers and employees to understand just how common some mental health problems can be. Enter the number of employees at your company and find out how many individuals are likely to be suffering with various types of mental health problems.

We hope the tool can raise awareness of some serious and common mental health problems which can affect individuals in the workplace.
