Dr Ewa Downie

Dr Ewa Downie is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist who works full-time with Clinical Partners. She has previously held consultant roles in both psychiatric rehabilitation and dementia assessment services within the NHS, bringing a wealth of expertise to her current role.
Dr Downie holds a medical degree and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. She is qualified in general adult psychiatry, addictions psychiatry, and rehabilitation psychiatry, and is currently working towards additional qualifications in old age psychiatry. She is also trained in the ADI-R, the gold standard tool for diagnosing autism.
With extensive experience supporting individuals with complex mental health needs and co-occurring conditions, Dr Downie is especially skilled in working with patients affected by addictions, neurodevelopmental conditions, and age-related psychiatric issues.
Dr Downie takes a collaborative, person-centred approach, combining medical, psychological, and social perspectives to build tailored care plans that reflect each person’s unique needs. She is known for being kind, compassionate, and hard-working, and is committed to ongoing learning and development to offer the highest standards of care.
