Dr Sheethal Rajashanker

Dr Sheethal Rajashanker is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist with over a decade of expertise treating a wide range of mental health conditions in adults of all ages, from working-age individuals to older adults.
During her 10 years as an NHS Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry, she worked extensively with both younger and older adults, including running a memory clinic. She also has significant experience in teaching and training healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses.
Dr Rajashanker has a special interest in women’s mental health, with a focus on the biological, social, and psychological factors that shape wellbeing. She also has extensive experience supporting psychiatric inpatients and managing complex mental health needs.
Known for her empathy and thoughtful approach, Dr Rajashanker works collaboratively with her patients to understand their challenges and find the most effective path forward. She is passionate about empowering people to manage their conditions and make meaningful, lasting changes in their lives.
In addition to English, she speaks Tamil and Hindi, enabling her to connect with a wide range of patients. Dr Rajashanker currently offers appointments online and in person at our Manchester clinic.
