Dr Martina Carboni is a hard-working and dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist who has been working for the NHS for the last four years, but comes with extensive experience from Italy, having graduated from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan. She is currently working for Adult ASD and ADHD Clinic for the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust since 2017.
As a specialist associate of the General Adult Psychiatry Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and a member in the Autism Spectrum Disorder Special Interest Group, Dr Carboni holds an honorary academic post at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College, London. She is part of the AUTIMM research group and a Clinical Neuroscience MSc supervisor.
With extensive experience of general adult and developmental psychiatry, Dr Carboni specialises in the assessment and management of ASD and ADHD in adults and associated mental health conditions because she is passionate about neurodivergence. She uses a combination of psychopharmacology, the Body-Mind Health Approach, Nature prescription and talking therapy to seek the best outcomes for those she works with. She is actively involved in projects aimed at improving quality and equality in Services for Adult ADHD and ASD.
Dr Carboni is recognised by colleagues as a being hard-working and conscientious. She is respected by clients for being straightforward, honest and capable, working diligently and collaboratively to support and treat clients.
