Dr Ramanuj currently works within the NHS as a specialist in the Psychiatry of Musculoskeletal Disease, working with patients who have complex problems such as chronic pain conditions or paralysis. Dr Ramanuj received his MRCPsych whist training at the Maudsley and St Thomas’ Hospitals and has a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience and an MBBS Medicine and Surgery, both from King’s College London.
Dr Ramanuj is the recipient of a prestigious international fellowship and spent a year conducting medical research at Columbia University in New York.
Dr Ramanuj has incredible warmth to his approach with patients – not only is he an expert in his field, but he has the ability to really humanise the experience of mental illness and his passion for helping people get better and lead more fulfilling lives is evident when you speak to him.
Dr Ramanuj works with people who have a wide range of presenting issues including depression, anxiety and mood swings and has specialist training in perinatal mental health and medical psychotherapy. Dr Ramanuj is a leading expert in helping patients with mental health issues who also have physical health complaints. Dr Ramanuj delivers person-centred care, viewing patients as individuals who will each experience a diagnosis differently. He strongly believes that working closely with the patient is important to finding the best treatment package.
