Sumayah is part of the team that assesses, and diagnoses children and young people and she is highly competent at using assessment tools to help form diagnoses.
Sumayah uses her training in CBT, teamed with approaches specific to ASD, such as developing emotional literacy skills, to help children with a diagnosis of ASD overcome some of the difficulties they can experience. Sumayah also works with children and young adults who are experiencing a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, phobias and difficulties associated with learning difficulties.
Sumayah comes highly recommended by her colleagues who describe her as being incredibly warm and able to help children feel comfortable in her presence. We welcome Sumayah to our Leeds team.
